Alison Wright, an English actress from the UK. Her most well-known character is Martha Hanson in the FX spy series The Americans. Wright was born on 12 July 1976, from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, where she was raised by adopted parents. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She was a student of acting and dance in New York City's highly regarded Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group. Waitressing was her job and she was a test subject for role. When she went scuba diving, an obsession of her at the time the incident occurred.
