Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. In the 1950s she started her professional career as an actor on stage as part of Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in numerous Broadway productions before making it huge in the national theater space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. That same year, she released Her first album of music It's the Right Time to Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in the year 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. The film was a huge hit and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In the years prior to this, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her most memorable performance came with the year 1964, when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise performed a superb job juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She played somber, contrasting characters to the glamorous doll she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she's also made her mark as a successful director in various well-known television shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family relocated to Toronto in the age group of three. She spent the majority of her youth there and then her adolescence. They settled her in Vancouver after she was selected to play Samantha Carter.
