Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to work with the best storytellers in Australia. She's worked behind the scenes in film, television and the theatre. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actor in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home following she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located in Bushwick Brooklyn and works out of Brooklyn to encourage the creative process, and to create new writing.
